При проведении рандомизированного двойного слепого исследования образцов, полученных при пункционной биопсии из участков ранее поврежденной и обработанной декспантенолом кожи, и биоптатов из плацебо-обработанной кожи установлено усиление экспрессии генов IL-6, IL-1b, CYP1B1, CXCL1, CCL18 и KAP 4−2 , что подтверждает корреляцию между результатами исследований in vitro и in vivo. Отмечено, что заживление ран в присутствии декспантенола происходит благодаря декспантенол-индуцированной регуляции экспрессии мРНК генов.
Прекрасный эффект дают физио- и мезотерапевтические процедуры с декспантенолом. В ходе ультразвуковой и микротоковой терапии концентрат пантотеновой кислоты можно наносить под контактные гели.
